I organized a panel, titled "Journalism and Gender in the Global South: Challenges to Women's Participation and Representation in the News Media," at the AEJMC's Midwinter Conference in Norman, Oklahoma, last week. Presenters included Rafaela Pereira (Brazil), Aanila Kishwar (Bangladesh), myself, and Abdul Wahab Siddiqi (Afghanistan). These presentations were based on book chapters for my forthcoming edited collection with Routledge.
