At our College of Communication meeting last week, Dean Jay Howard announced that he named me the Richard M. Fairbanks Chair of Communication. This is a great honor and I am so thankful!

Edgerton Named New Dean

From Butler University: Gary R. Edgerton, professor and chair of Communication and Theatre Arts at Old Dominion University, will become the first permanent dean of Butler University’s 2-year-old College of Communication. He will join Butler on Aug. 1. Read more.

Being part of a new College of Communication

After much talk, the University approved a new College of Communication. In my opinion, this is definitely the right direction:
